Walk By Faith

Today's Life Lesson Of The Day for my life is...

Where He leads, Will We Follow?...
And if so & even though, we cannot see the road ahead of us,
Will we trust in Him every step of the way?
Do we just talk-the-talk, or will we literally walk-the-walk!

Dear Lord, to the ends of this earth & beyond...
I will & still continue to follow after You alone!
Temporarily Torn, But Held & Ever-Loved By Your Heart,
~Your Loving Daughter

Walk By Faith

Will I believe you when you say
Your hand will guide my every way
Will I receive the words You say
Every moment of every day

Well I will walk by faith
Even when I cannot see
because this broken road
Prepares Your will for me

Help me to rid my endless fears
You've been so faithful for all my years
With the one breath
You make me new
Your grace covers all I do

Well I'm broken-
but I still see Your face
Well You've spoken-
pouring Your words of grace

Hallelujah, hallelu

Luke 15:7

Scripture Of The Day

Joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Luke 15:7

It may seem foolish for the shepherd to leave the 99 sheep to go search for just the one. But the shepherd knew that the 99 would be safe in the sheepfold, whereas the lost sheep was in danger. Because each sheep was of high value, the shepherd knew it was worthwhile to search diligently for the lost one. God's love for each individual is so great that he seeks each one out and rejoices when he or she is "found". Jesus associated with sinners because he wanted to bring the lost sheep - people considered beyond hope - the Gospel of God's Kingdom. Before you were a believer he sought you, and his love is still seeking those who are yet lost.

Luke 11:9

Scripture Of The Day

Luke 11:9

Psalm 65:4

Scripture Of The Day

Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Psalm 65:4

Access to God, the joy of living in the Tabernacle courts, was a great honor. God had chosen a special group of Israelites, the tribes of Levi, to serve as ministers in the Tabernacle (Numbers 3:5-51). They were the only ones who could enter the sacred rooms where God's presence resided. Because of Jesus' death on the cross, all believers today have personal access to God's presence everywhere and any time. We gain this access into God's presence by believing in the death and resurrection of Christ, and turning from our sins to God's way of living.

Psalm 64:10

Scripture Of The Day
The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him, and all the upright in heart shall glory.

Psalm 64:10

Luke 9:23 & 24

Scripture Of The Day

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it, but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

Luke 9:23 & 24

People are willing to pay a high price for something they value. Is it any surprise that Jesus should demand this much commitment from his followers? There are at least 3 conditions that must be met by people who want to follow Jesus. We must be willing to deny self, to take up our crosses, and to give up our lives. Anything less is superficial lip service.

Revelation 1:8

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Revelation 1:8

Luke 8:15

Scripture Of The Day

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Luke 8:15

Wayside people, like many of the religious leaders, refused to believe God's message. Hard-rock people, like many in the crowds who follow Jesus, believed his message but never got around to doing anything about it. Thorn-patch people, overcome by materialism, left no room in their lives for God. Good-soil people, in contrast to all the other groups, followed no matter what the cost. Which type of soil are you?

(Matthew 7:15-20)

For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Beautiful

Beautiful

When I'm with you
I see the world in a different way
You shine so bright

When I'm close to you
I feel the way that you really are
It moves my heart

You make me want to be
So beautiful
You make me want to be
Just like you
Beautiful

I think about you
And how you change everything you touch
I love you so much

You amaze me
You lift me up to a higher place
Put a smile on my face

You make me want to be
So beautiful
You make me want to be
Just like you
Beautiful

Psalm 6:9

Scripture Of The Day

The Lord hath heard my supplication, the Lord will receive my prayer.

Psalm 6:9

David's feelings shifted from fear to confidence. To defend ourselves against the lies and propaganda of our enemies, our best preparation is to be saturated with the knowledge of God and filled with his presence. Our daily study of his Word, our prayers, our worship, and our confidence in his presence will keep us strong.

Psalm 5:7

Scripture Of The Day

A Psalm of David

But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy, and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

Psalm 5:7

Luke 5:31

Scripture Of The Day

And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

Luke 5:31

The Pharisees wrapped their sin in respectability. They made themselves appear good by publicly doing good deeds and pointing at the sins of others. Jesus chose to spend time not with these proud, self-righteous religious leaders but with people who sensed their own sin and knew that they were not good enough for God. In order to come to God, we must repent; and in order to renounce sin, we must recognize it for what it is.

Psalm Ch. 2

Psalm 2:1-12

Theme - God's ultimate rule. A psalm written to celebrate the coronation of an Israelite king, but also written for the coronation of Christ, the eternal King.

Author - David (see Acts 4:25, 26)

1 - Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2 - The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his annointed, saying,

3 - Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4 - He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

5 - Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6 - Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7 - I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8 - Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 - Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them into pieces like a potter's vessel.

10 - Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye kings of the earth.

11 - Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 - Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Isaiah 61:3

Isaiah 61:3 (King James Version)

3 - To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion,
to give unto them beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning,
the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
that they might be called trees of righteousness,
the planting of the LORD,
that he might be glorified.

Psalm Chapter 1

Faithbooking Friends - Mini Challenge - Psalm Ch. 1
Like A Tree Planted By The Rivers Of Water.
Psalm Chapter 1
1 - Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 - But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 - And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 - The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 - Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 - For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
